Families can register their grade 7-9 children for FREE online math tutoring through September 1, 2022.
The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is investing in a Math Tutoring Corps to support 7th-9th grade students in gaining math skills and concepts they may have missed due to learning disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. OSDE recruits and hires up to 500 educators and college students to provide virtual tutoring services outside of school hours for up to 1,500 7th-9th graders. Each tutor will have a group of no more than four students and will meet virtually for 50-minute sessions, three times per week. In each session, tutors will provide on-grade-level mathematics support to reinforce mathematical concepts and help students better understand math processes they are currently learning in class while also preparing them for higher-level mathematics.
